Here's a book that's too good to miss for anyone interested in the field of crytology, cryptography, and cryptanalysis; The Code Book: The Evolution of Secrecy from Mary, Queen of Scots, to Quantum Cryptography by Simon Singh. I just finished it, and feel that it greatly improved my knowledge of the history and methodology of cryptography, all the way from Atbash and the Caesar Cipher up through Zimmerman's PGP and beyond. It's well worth checking out, and once I've returned the copy I read I'm going to have to track down a copy for my personal collection.
